I'm trying to install a Python 3000ESP in a 73 Nova, I don't have power windows or locks or anything fancy.

For the life of me, I cannot get the alarm to sound if the interior light comes on (Door Open).  I connected to the GREEN-H1 (-) Door Trigger Input to the door switch ... isn't that right?

I've connected the WHITE to my Park lights - WORKS!,  BLUE to my a hood/trunk switches - WORKS!,  BLACK to ground, BROWN to siren - WORKS!

My question is how do I wired up the alarm to go off when someone opens the door?  I tried connecting the GREEN to the door switch, do I need to supply 12v to the VIOLET one?

What the heck is the BLACK/ WHITE one for Domelight Supervision one for??

Do I really need to install anything from the H2 harness? or H3 harness? again, no power locks or windows ...

I used to be so good at this stuff, back in my younger days ...  any help would be appreciated!

Thank You for your time.

Hi Dave, you dont need to worry about the Domelight supervision... it's a silly feature, if you do want to hook it up you'll need to use a relay...

take a meter and verify if your door pin wire is supplying 12 volts or ground when the door is open.... i'm sorry but i dont remember back to a 73 anything   lol

if you aren't using those features dont worry about the other plugs... you only need to connect the ones that are relevant to the features you are using....
