I have a Polar start on my manual 96 ford ranger. I bought it with the started already installed and the owner didnt have the instructions anymore and i have no idea what the model # is. To set it when youre getting out you have to put it into neutral then set the emergency brake press button 2, the engine keeps running as you remove the key and get out until you shut the door and press button two again. Then to start it you just press button two. I want to know if i can set it to run for a certain amount of time and what the first button is for if i dont even use it. Thanks

The mode you are in is called "Pit Stop" because you have a Manual Transmission, U have to engage the RS when U leave vehicle to start next time, for SAFETY

What ever U do ........MAKE SURE U R near vehicle when you Remote Start

I beleive Polar is now Autostart

Find your Remote Start Unit and get Model Number and try

Almost all systems do this. What your going to have to do is get underneath the dash and look for the CPU and get the model number off the CPU case.

If it's a 2 button PolarStart, the usual default runtime is 10 min. The button marked with a 1 is for doorlocks, if so equipped on the vehicle.
