I'm installing a vampire alarm/starter on a 95 Chevy s-10 blazer 2 door. I have a few questions I need help with...If it helps it already had a factory keyless entry on it, no alarm....

1. How do I hook up the DOME light??? There is a wire coming out of the alarm for it but which wire for the dome light does it connect to on the back of the light switch?

2. There is a three Pin connector..It has the lock, unlock, and 12v + out on the alarm. Where do I hook up the 12V OUT to???

3. Where is the best place to mount the RF RECEIVER? Is one place better than another for the longest remote range? Any way to get a really long reception??

4. Where do I hook up the TACH wire from the alarm? My blazer doesn't have a Tach in the dash...Does that matter???

5. There is an orange wire coming out of the alarm that says it is to connect to a 30 AMP RELAY for STARTER KILL (-) OUTPUT. What the hell does that mean??? What does this do??  How do I do this???

6. I think there is something weird I read about the door trigger hook up??? I just attached the wire to it....Anything else I should do???

Sorry if any of these questions are really dumb, I have no idea what I am doing....I really DO APPRECIATE any help you can give me..If you can please explain in detail, I'm not real experienced with this sort of stuff..I am kinda stuck here at this point...Any other suggestions of things I should or should not do??

I'm installing a vampire alarm/starter on a 95 Chevy s-10 blazer 2 door. I have a few questions I need help with...If it helps it already had a factory keyless entry on it, no alarm....

1. How do I hook up the DOME light??? There is a wire coming out of the alarm for it but which wire for the dome light does it connect to on the back of the light switch? Look at the diagram below for the wire

2. There is a three Pin connector..It has the lock, unlock, and 12v + out on the alarm. Where do I hook up the 12V OUT to??? Hook it up to the constant 12 volts off the alarm system , piggyback this wire.

3. Where is the best place to mount the RF RECEIVER? Is one place better than another for the longest remote range? Any way to get a really long reception?? High and away from any electrical components. BUT IT HAS TO BE LOWER THAN THE TINT ON THE WINDSHIELD. if you are mounting it on the windshield

4. Where do I hook up the TACH wire from the alarm? My blazer doesn't have a Tach in the dash...Does that matter??? WHITE wire in the dash. Look at the wiring diagram below for location

5. There is an orange wire coming out of the alarm that says it is to connect to a 30 AMP RELAY for STARTER KILL (-) OUTPUT. What the hell does that mean??? What does this do??  How do I do this??? This is the starter disable circuit that you need to wire a relay for ( https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page2.asp#sk1) The starter disable cuts the starter wire when the car's alarm is triggered so no one can steal the vehicle because the starter wire has been disabled. The circuit opens again when the system is disarmed witht he remote.

6. I think there is something weird I read about the door trigger hook up??? I just attached the wire to it....Anything else I should do???Look at the NOTES in the below wiring diagram

Get a DMM and also SOLDER all your connections and tape them all up GOOD.

Here is the wiring diagram for the truck:

|       BRAKE WIRE|white               |+  |at brake pedal switch       |
|     HORN TRIGGER|black               |-  |steering column             |

|  LF WINDOW UP/DN|dk. blue - brown    |A  |in drivers door             |

|  LR WINDOW UP/DN|green - purple      |A  |in drivers door             |
|  RR WINDOW UP/DN|lt. green - pur/wht |A  |in drivers door             |

Notes:

*1 Also found at the TRW keyless entry module mounted to the under dash panel on drivers side. With the module unplugged, the drivers door lock will no longer function.  *2 This wire catches all doors, but reads the delay. To keep the alarm from reading the delay, place a diode in-line on the white door trigger wire with the anode towards the keyless module. Attach your door trigger wire to the cathode side of the diode. On non-keyless models there is a module with 5 wires located where the keyless normally resides. The white wire there catches only the front two doors. To catch the rear doors use the white wire at the drivers side rear pin switch.

Thanks for the Help!!!

Can you give me a little more detail on where to find the wire or coil to hook the tach wire to?

Also, where would be a good place to mount the shock sensor?
