Can anyone tell me the best place to mount a shock senor??

Also, I'm having trouble finding the wire to connect the tack wire to...I was told the coil on top of the engine and a white wire? Where abouts can I find something to connect this to...It is a 95 blazer without a tach in the dash....If that means anything

Hey....you might wanna search the forum for the best place to mount the sensor....you'll probably get a  lot of suggestions.  From what I remember reading, I think it's best to attach it with a group of wires, but not really tight.  Probably somewhere around the steering column is a good place.

As for the tach, you can trace all of your spark plug wires back to the coil by the engine (by the distributor cap), and then you should see the white wire there.  You can test this wire with a digital multimeter (in AC mode), and the reading should fluctuate as you press/depress the gas.  I'm not positive, but even though you don't have a tach in the dash, you still might be able to search around under the driver's knee panel and possibly find the tach wire under there, too.  Again, if you're not sure if you have the right wire....test is with a DMM.

Good luck.

The best place for shock sensor is to wire tie on the steering column. That's what I remember as far as MECP goes.

I remember the white wire was also found right next to the fuse box in the hood. The black fuse box normally says the words "white" where the harness is coming out.

My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?
