After working under the dash installing a remote starter in my 2001 Ranger the left rear turn signal and brake light will not work. The light bulb was ok, but replaced it.  The front turn signal  works.  The wire color at the rear bulb is      lt grn/org.  I can not find this color wire under the dash.

Will the wire be the same color under the dash? If not what color? Where under the dash will I find this wire?  Would any thing in the remote starter cause this?  Any other ideas what would cause this trouble.

Thanks for the help.  Don

Your bblinker lights shouldnt be hooked to the remote start, just to the parking lights (normally) it is almost always a brown wire at the switch or you can pull it from any of the running lights. I think you tapped into the wrong wire... as for your colors under the dash, chances are the wont be the same. just check the + parking wire of the R.S and it should run to the light switch. check it with a meter so you dont hook to your dimmer ckt. if your clip the wire that is currently hooked up , chances are your troubles will go away.
