Is there a "simple" way to disconnect the passlock system
so my remote start will work? They say 5 volts pass up
one wire & down the next when the key is in. Can these two wires just be cut and crimped together ?
Thanks!

I don't believe that there is.  I just installed a remote starter in my 1998 gmc truck and had to buy the bypass module.  When I installed the module you had to check for resistance between the two wires and set 10 dip switches according to what the readings were.  Good luck.
