Ok. I have a Clifford Arrow 3 installed in my 97 Acura Integra.  Problem is that it keeps falsing on short trips almost always when the headlights are on. It will only false once five minutes after arming the car.  You must arm immediately after driving, if you wait five min., it will not happen. It only does this once after the five min. period expires, and not again until car is driven again.  I have a new battery, and both it and my alternator are working perfectly.  The alarms power and ground wiring, as well as fusing are all in good order.  I disconnected all sensors, even the doors, rear hatch, and hoodpin and it still falses.  Odd thing is that it flashes a code 2 on the led as the reason for activation of alarm.  On this model, a code 2 means that the peizo sensor set it off.  Problem is that it doesnt have a peizo sensor, or any other sensor for that matter.  The only connections to the brain at this time are power, ground, remote antenna, parking lights, led, and coded valet switch.  I had the brain replaced w/ a brand new one and it is still falsing. I thought maybe my radio was building up an electrical charge, and then releasing it into the car's wiring, but I removed both the main, and backup fuses for the radio, and it still falses.  Any ideas?, cause I'm out of em.

Do have current sensing on? Does anything come on like the fan after you leave the vehicle?

Nothing audible comes on after leaving vehicle. I have actually sat in the vehicle a couple of times waiting for it to false, and nothing happened. it just goes off.

My car does have an electrical load detector that monitors voltage load to the headlights, charging system, etc.  Ill check that out, but it still doesnt explain the code 2.

What do you mean by code 2? Do you mean the LED blinks twice. If it blinks twice that means door trigger.

A code 2 (meaning 2 LED flashes) is a Shock sensor code according to the owners manual.

Oh because according to the installation manual, 2 flashes mean door trigger. I know you disconnected all the trigger wires but are you sure it's not grounding somewhere else. Where did you run the hood wire? Through the firewall. Did it get pinched? You will have to test this wire for ground. If this is not the problem, Check all the wires with a DMM that are connected to tha alarm. Make sure they are getting the right power that is required. (- of +) Make sure everything else is working fine... valet switch, parking lights. Is the power connected stright to the battery.. both pwr wires. Make sure the ground is good.

Well I stumbled into the cause of the problem yesterday.  I was adjusting my parking brake, which required removal of the center console, when I noticed that my digital tilt/motion sensor had been placed nearby.  It had supposedly been disconnected earlier, but I noticed that its wiring harness was still plugged in so I did a little test.  I armed the car, grabbed a jack and started pumping. No big surprise, the alarm soon went off.  WHen I disarmed and turned on the ignition, the LED gave me a code 2.  I disconnected the sensor, and did multiple test drives that would have normally set off hte alarm.  NO FALSES!!!! only now I wonder what the hell that sensor had to do w/ the headlights being on during a short drive, etc., and why the hell is it plugged into the shock sensor input?  Another odd thing, with the tilt/motion sensor disconnected, my coded valet switch (also on center console) doesnt work anymore, and whenever I disarm the car it gives me the "Total Recall" thing on the LED.  Dont know what thats about, but at least it aint goin off anymore.  Thanks for all the helpful suggestions guys.  It just goes to show you that even when you have the best helping you, you usually just stuble into the solution by dumb luck anyway. And even then, it raises more questions than it answers. Oh well.
