I installed a remote starter in this car......connected all my wires.....connected the passlock 1

i went to try to start it with the key......it starts and stalls right away...the theft system flashes for 3 seconds then stays on.

I disconnected everything from the starter and passlock

I waited the 10 to 15 minutes.....and then tried again to start it by key.......samething flashes for 3 seconds then comes on.

Now I am going to wait 30 minutes and try it again

any ideas?

It defenetly has to do with the pass lock!!

Be sure there are no wires shorting, cut, or broken strands.

Looking at your post the anti-theft system might be the problem. Recheck the wiring on the bypass. If you have the wiring done correctly the key will always start the car. Did you use the test bulb wire for the bypass? Is the resistence set corrcetly on the bypass. Measure it again. If you don't have the correct measurment the theft system kicks in so you won't be able to start the car.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.99 sunfire remote start -- posted image.

I found it!.

here is the problem......I usually disconnect the 2 main plugs from the ignition switch, connect my wire to it, then plug it back in.

when i put back the 2 plugs the white went in nice.....the black plug with the bulb test wire on it went in but also bent the bulb test wire pin on the ignition switch.

what luck!

thanks
