can anyone help me please . what is the best way to disarm the factory alarm on an 03 cavalier?will hooking up the locks from the remote do it? there seems to be a wire in the ignition that will deactivate it also. sitting in the vehicle and starting the car sets off the alarm  and turning the ignition to on stops it . does anyone know off hand which wire it is?

**** The vehicle may be equipped with a content theft-deterrent alarm system. This alarm cannot be armed or disarmed except with the factory transmitter. However, the system will disarm when the ignition is energized. Therefore, a remote starter can be added without any concern for disarming the factory alarm.

i have done dozens and dozens of these vehicles and never had to worry about the factory alarm.....
