Remote sending not receiving

Another POS alarm from ebay...I bought a HT 800D alarm from ebay... The LCD remote sends signal with great distance... The LCD remote gets nothing back from brain The LCD remote is supposed to let me know if alarm is armed or disarmed, engine started etc... it does't... Any ideas? The alarm box has Royal Guard on it. Supposely it's HuaTai 800 D alarm unit. I bought two of these units and swapped out brains and remotes and still same thing... swapped out antennas and no success... any thoughts????? Thanks

how far are you away from the car

I am right next to the car and I cant receive signal on remote. I go a few hundred feet or so from the car and it'll remote start and everything but still nothing on remote lcd.

I am in the process of installing the same "POS"... Don't you like the extensive documentation - N-O-T ! Try deleting the remote controls from memory (page 11) and reinstalling them (note it says on pg10 only 2 can be 2-way) and when you press the button on the remote be sure to be > 2.5 meters away. Mine doesn't update the display on the remote not used to set the alarm (e.g. it shows lock on remote 1 but not on remote 2 - but I think it does show the exhaust on both when it is running by remote start) Happy New Year!!

Yosemitee, Happy new year too you too....as for me...I bought two of these units and both don't work as it should. I have reprogrammed it many times, next to it, and way over the 2.5 meters away. I dont even have a lock to show on either four of my remotes. It should show the exhaust on remote start. Personally I think it's one of the simpliest installs I have ever put in, Not very many features at all. POS...I do beleive... Good luck. Better off selling it and buying a new one... Just my opinion...
