My friend has asked me to put an remote start/alarm on his car made by scytek or something along those lines. Anyway..the problem is..when I try to remote start the car it just try to start and it never turns over. It sounds like a diesel truck trying to start on a cold morning. It starts fine with the key. I've tried different combinations with the starter wire. I took the starter kill out the equation and still no luck. I has a program mode on there for gas/diesel vehicles, and that hasn't fixed the problem either. I tested the starter wire coming off the alarm brain and it just puts out 12volts...it doesn't pulse 12volts like a normal starter would..it just holds it. Has anyone dealt with one of these alarms before. This is really frustrating.

remember what it takes a car to operate:
Ignition=gas,fire.....
starter=if it gets 12volt along w/ ign (ON) and crank, the engine should turn over.
another word, youre missing ignition. check your ignition!!!!

Well I checked the wires coming off the alarm brain and there is nothing coming out for ignition on either wire. So I had him take it back to where he bought it and get a new brain.
