My installer seems to have trouble remote starting the 01 lexus lx470 with viper 791xv without unlocking and locking the doors. I know the key sense wire can be used to avoid this but I would like to get a datasheet with the key sense wire described. The database the installer had did not show the key sense key.
kindly post it here or email me at aassume@hotmail.com
thnx much.

thnx for the reply, I guess the datasheet did not have this info or maybe the installer just doesnt know how to do this. Is the blue / YELLOW key sense wire the same as ACC wire ? or is this different ? More over how would this wire have to be hooked up in order to work. In other words what wires would have to be changed from the way it is right now where the door lock/unlock feature is being used to bypass the factory security.
thnx again.

blue / YELLOW could possibly not be the same wire as the keysense. keysense is not the smae as accessory wire. theyre completely two diff wires.
yes, the unlock disarm the fact alarm.
i know exactly what youre talking baout. the recent Toyotas have keysense wire, and if you ground it it disarm. lets just give ur installer this info and hell know what to do.
theres a disarm wire form the 791xv for it.

profuse007,

As far as the actual key sense wire, do you know where to find it?  I need it for this same vehicle in order to install a 555X

Thanks.

actually, after wasting a whole day trying to install the 555x the installer used the 556u at the end. he was on the phone with DEI for hours and they concluded that the 555x is very specific to some lexus models and was not commpatible with 01 LX.
good luck.

the 555F works for lexus as well. When you open the package it has a "recommended location for a 2000 lexus rx300" Programming is a little difficult to get the "code" into the ecm but after about 10 minutes it worked. The key sense wire should be at the bottom of the key cylinder.

Glad to hear you got it running though. Great installers are worth what ever you pay them!!

Oh boy, I just received my 555x yesterday, and I was getting ready to install it.  I might try it anyway, hopefully it works, just in case I will order a 556u and have it on standby.  I can always return which ever I don't use.

Thanks for the feedback benz300
