I installed an astro 4204 into this truck about 2 weeks ago.. the bypass was a GMDLBP takes care of passlock and OEM disarm... The problem is that very intermitently (usually the middle of the night) the OEM alrm ggoes nuts and and starts blowing the horn. The first time the customer was in he was so frustrated that he ended up locking up his remote. and nothing worked. I blew that off to him not waiting for the confirmation to come back and it just being customer error. now the second time My sales guy got it to act up. He locked the doors started the vehicle and unlocked the doors and the horn sounded. I swapped out the bypass module and played with the truck all day.. no probs.. today he called again and said it went off again last night.. now I am stumped.. the bypass should take care of this if I am not mistaken (at least it has on every othe chev I did) what am I missing here HELP!
Thanks guys...

Hymer....why didn't you use an astroflex bypass?

No hardwiring, or potential for a mistake!  Plug it in and go!

IMHDT 1   and a passlock 2,3,4,or 5

gmdlbp won't disarm the factory alarm on the 02 truck only the 03-05
you need to tie into the lt.green disarm wire at the BCM

Interesting... I had the disarm hooked to the BCM (green wire I belive at least it sounds framiliar) Now mabey I'm doing something wrong here.. please correct me if I am.. The orange (- anti theft output) for disarming OEM alarms... IS THIS CORRECT???? That is what I was told by the guy who trained me on astros...if it is is there any programing that needs to be done?? (he left that part out) .. as for the astro bypass.. our company has us using bypasskits.. why I don't know... I have told them to use the astro, hell why wouldn't you.. they make the RS... We get our units from an outside source..again why???? We are definitly big enuf to be an astro dealer... Idunno.. It's getting frustrating...
any feedback would be great....
