i recently got a VIPER 791XV alarm installed on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck.  All the functions work fine except when I remote start my car, it starts fine but the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT goes on.  I had a Commando alarm before, and I had the same exact problem, but never figured it out.   I was surprised to see that the 791XV does the same thing.  When I remove the negative battery terminal and put it back, the check engine light is no longer lit.  But a few remote starts later, it turns back on.  Thanks for all the help!

In the astrochart, its shown to power up the second IGN. first. Wire a relay for it....and trigger it as ground while running. It'll get jucied up BEFORE everything else.

Im assuming you have ALL of the IGN, and ACCS,  wires powered up. There are 2 of each!
