Installed crimestopper remote start and Dei immobilizer by pass on 2003 Ford Focus. Car will start run a few seconds then shut down and go through the cycle again. Every once and awhile it will continue to run. It seems your chance of it staying running is better when its cold. I disconnected the immobilizer and taped a key in the ignition to eliminate the immobilizer. I tried the tachless mode ,tach mode, and timed crank options with the same results. I'm running out of ideas!!! any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The Immobilizer is not wired correctly or not programmed properly. Is it a keyless or key required bypass module ? Did you try putting the key in the ignition cylider and then remote starting it ? If it still did not work, then look at tach programming or tach wire location. What wire did you use for the tach wire ?

The immobilizer requires a key. I had a key programmed. I even tried another key. I unhooked the immobilizer bypass and taped the ignition key to the column with the same results. When I tried the tach mode I used the blk/grn wire  this is the one specified on my diagram

Did you test this wire to ensure proper tacah signal ? If nothing else, use an injector wire and program the unit to the injector wire.

What bypass are you using? Are you sure that you only need one key to program the bypass to the car?

Hey the tach wire was the culprit. I found a good source and put it in the tach mode instead of the tachless. Thank you to all who replied I sure do appreciate it !
