I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on how I could hook up a 6V garage door opener to my Viper 791XV alarm. I want it to work under the AUX button of my 2-way remote. I know people that have done it before, but they've all used 12V garage door opener remotes. Any input is appreciated.

you can buy one of those cigarette lighter style units that convert 12v to 6v like the ones that come with xm radios or get the universal one where u can set the voltage..   crack that sucker open and solder leads to the ground and power parts for the fuse and the ground connector..   then just lop off the end and walla u got 6 volts..   connecting it to ur garage door opener should be as simple as hooking the 12 volts to the button switch and ground it to the ground..    if that makes sense.. works in my head lol
