One of our installers did the above car today with an astro 2106u.. He called me during dinner tonight and said the RS doesn't work at all, and when he starts it with the key it will only run for 10 min and now it won't do anything... He apparently used a GMBP bypass for this install.. I'm pretty sure that is not the right bypass (It don't do pk 3 from what I remember)is this a symptom of antitheft lockup??? I never locked one up, so I don't know) and all my updated software is at work...Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I would like to get him an answer by morning... Thanks a million guys...

The GMBP does PK3, but for the 04 Grand Prix you should be using the PKU-GM, or a key in the box bypass.

Use the universal system for the 04/05 Grand Prix's. There's been alot of problems with the keyless versions for this veicle. Until there's more solid software for the Grand Prix I suggest using the universal module.

As far as the problem goes for you, did he try reading the manual to see what the Pontiac book says about the Passkey lock out and what the owner should do in an event such as this ?

No probably not...(read the book) but I will tell him tommorow..and as for the GMBP i agree Ill get the correct bypass tommorow and probably end up at the shop trying to fix it with him... what a headache... is that a typical symptom of pk3 lock up?? from what I remember it is..but like I said I never had the problem...Keep the ideas coming.... Thanks guys!

Get a OM-GMC-3 from astroflex Hymer.......

You dont use a "key in the box" on this one!
