Alrite i am very new to car security. I mostly know about car audio. Since i have so much audio equipment put into my car i cant afford it all getting stolen. At the local shop they sell car alarms for over $300 installed. I dont feel like paying that and i think i can get the same thing on ebay for much cheaper. Im looking into an alarm system that has a pager for your keychain when your alarm goes off and maybe a remote start so i can be accepted by my friends (lol jk but i really do want a remote start). I was looking into a viper system that has a lcd pager but im not sure which one to get. Also once i get the system i wanted to know if it was worth it to install it myself or get the shop to install it. My friend installed his own system and said it was the biggest pain ever and recomended me to have a pro install it. So if i could get some feedback on a good alarm system and what i should do about installation, that would be very helpful. Thankyou in advance!
