Smart Start or Tach Sense...

My remote start came with the two different options for the engine detect.  One is smart start where it uses voltage sensing to start it and see if it's running.  It's connected directly to a 12V source like the battery and is the recommended proceedure.  Tach sense I'm sure most people know about, where it's connected to the tach wire.  I guess I'm just wondering which method people recommend?!?!

Use the tach sense method. It is more accurate and safer as well.
