I installed a RS/KE in a 2004 Honda Pilot about a month ago and the owner came in today and told me that the interior lights won't go out if she uses the RS. She says that she has to go out and open and shut the door to get them to go out. Any suggestions on a remedy for this? Thanks in advance.

Did you notice this problem before ? If this is the case, then all you have to do is pulse the driver's door wire with the re-arm wire from the RS unit. That's what I do with the new Chevy's that leave the radio on indefinitely unless a door is open.

You need to connect the key sense wire BLUE/BLACK NEGATIVE at the steering column.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.2004 Honda Pilot, remote start/keyless -- posted image.

I have also heard of a similar scenario with the Pilot. Customer remote starts car, gets in car and inserts key, steps on brake and the domelight stays on. Solution - turn on ignition lock. When the vehicle locks, the domelight turns off.
Velocity, I believe all GM vehicles shut off the Retained Accessory Power about 5-10 minutes after the vehicle is shut off. I still hook up the rearm wire to the drivers door pin if its inside the vehicle to prevent the radio from staying on. On the 2003+ 4 door trucks I hit the rear drivers side door trigger at the BCM since the front drivers door pin wire is in the door.

i'll go with the connecting to the keysense wire as mentioned above, seen the problem before....twice.  use a ground when running/ status wire for the connection,  use isolating diodes if that wire is used elsewhere.

The new 2005 Chevy Express Vans that I worked on have the radio on indefinitely.
