I'am installing an alarm (with no remote start) for '00 F-150, have wiring diagram, but don't understand the factory disarm, what do i do in this case. Wiring diagram says "dark GREEN/ Purple.

But before i install, are there any more problems i can come across with installing the alarm on truck.(i.e. Door Locks, etc)

Thanks,

Sal

Factory keyless entry:

negative lock pink / YELLOW
negative unlock pink/green
disarm wire dark GREEN/ purple
All these wires can be found at the keyless entry module.   All you have to do to disarm the factory system is send a negative pulse to the disarm wire before or during unlock.  You can diode isolate the unlock wire and send to both unlock and disarm if you don't have an output that is factory alarm disarm.

IF you do not have factory keyless:

reverse polarity lock - pink / YELLOW
Reverse polarity unlock - pink/green.
No disarm wire - check the diagrams here for 5 wire system.
