I just installed a Viper 790XV in my '99 Suburban. I tapped into the wrong dome light source and I think I put too much of a load on that channel and fried it.

Does anyone know of a workaround to trigger my domelight supervision circuit(the same feature as provided by the OEM keyless entry feature.)

I checked the light switch and found a circuit that shows 12v when the domelights are on so I need to send it to ground through a different channel on the alarm. The only other channel I see that's a possibility is the H2/3 wire(violet/black) which I can configure to a 30 second timed,  which I guess is about as good as I can get, unless someone can tell me how to trigger the remote keyless entry through my Viper transmitter. I'm assuming the OEM keyless transmitter pulses a wire that triggers the domesupervision and door locks but I don't want to start hacking the install by stripping wires and testing one at a time at this point. (I've been good so far dome supervision work around -- posted image.- only used 1 piece of electrical tape- everything else is heatshrinked and soldered!)

Hey bilhaz,

The domelight supervision output is only 200ma.  You'll need to use a relay to send a negative signal to the White wire at the underdash light.  Here's how  :
