Hey all, I have a simple question...I'm trying to wiring in a thing I made(just 3 led's wired in series) to my alarm. I want them to come on when the alarm is armed, but I'm having proiblems finding the "(-) when armed" output...So far I have the led's wired to a 12+ constant, but the other wire I don't have hooked to anything...

I tried a yellow wire on my alarm  that is supposed to be negative when armed for the starter kill(which isn't hooked up currently), but I can't seem to get a ground from it...I also found another wire that said it was the same thing, that could be used for a window roll up mechanism. This wire made the led's turn on when armed, but then they go out after about 10 soconds...

What am I doing wrong? And what wire should it be?

Any help is defintley appreciated...

so your saying hook it to the red wire? won't that cause the led to always be on, unless the engine is running? I only want it to be on if the alarm is armed...

I know they won't flash....that isn't a problem...I do arm it 99 percent of the time, but I still want it to be hooked to my alarm. I think it's pointless for it to be on when it's not armed....if that was the case I would just hook it to my car, and not even have an alarm. No trying to be a jerk or anything, I'd just like it to be on only when my car is armed...
