Hi everyone,

Ive been installing my alarm for the last few weeks. Anyways im done except for one thing which is the trunk release. On this site it says that the trunk release for a 2002 camry is the white blue wire in the driver's kick. I found this wire and hooked up a relay to it to give it 12v. The strange thing is that this keeps killin the alarm fuse. I went to the trunk and probed the trunk release. The white blue wire is actually connected to ground and another wire is supplying 12 volts. When i activate the release from the keyless entry system the ground goes up to about 8V very quickly then drops. What the heck is going on? Any clues or advice?

86 and 87 - constant 12 volts
87a - switch side of trunk release wire
30 - motor side of trunk release wire
85 - trunk release output from alarm
Also, the power for the trunk release relay should be fused seperately from the alarm power. You don't want your alarm becoming totally disabled if the trunk release has a problem.
