i have just installed a gm factory alarm system, to make the system passive arming, i need to conect into the trucks lock circuit, i need to know what color this wire should be. also do i need an extra relay for this operation.......................thanks2002 chevy avalanche -- posted image.

Well your lock wire is lt. blue and your unlock is white and they are positive.  They are located in a brown plug at the BCM which is under the drivers side dash.  Whether or not you need a relay depends on the the polarity of the input or output from the new alarm.  How do you need to hook into the locks?  If you have a positive output from the new factory alarm, then you wont need a relay, but if it is a negative form the new alarm you will.

You will also need to connect to the disarm wire.  It is light green at the purple connector on the same module.  YOu need to hook this up to receive a - pulse during or before unlocking.
