Hello there. Anyone who has had an issue of this kind, I would love to hear from you, since my service department at the Hyundai dealership thinks I am completely crazy. Two nights ago, I happened to be looking out the window and noticed that the lights on my 2005 Tiburon flashed, as they do when the doors are automatically locked/unlocked. I thought this odd because I did not have the key fob in my hand (it was hanging by the kitchen door). I immediately went out to the car and discovered that the driver's door had UNLOCKED itself. Last night, I was walking past my car with the key fob in my hand and I was holding onto the key itself so I was not touching the lock/unlock buttons. As I walked past the driver's door of the car, I heard a "click" and the driver's door LOCKED itself. I took the car in for servicing today, they told me this unlocking could not happen, but the doors may automatically lock themselves if you unlock them with the automatic buttons and don't open the door for 30 seconds or so. Still does not explain the unlocking or the locking when no one was even near or had been using the keyless entry. Very strange...anyone have any ideas? I thought that the key fob itself was faulty, service says no, door sensors are fine...anyone else experience this?

Thanks for the info, and as with all electronic equipment, there are going to be problems, after all, nothing is perfect. I seem to be having difficulty getting this across to the service dept where I purchased the vehicle. Also my power sunroof will not work in the mornings, only after driving the vehicle for approximately an hour. I'll just keep taking the car back to service until I get tired of that avenue. Although I love the new Tiburon, I think I may have bought a lemon!

Couple of things:

* document everything *

Call a lawyer.  It is free (all the lawyer's fees will be paid by the manufacteur) if the lawyer takes your case.

You may have a claim if the dealer does not fix the car.

Get an aftermarke alarm (code-hopping thechnology makes it harder for to different alarms to use the same code, clone-safe).

I'm not a lawyer I'm just making suggestions based on what I read on a lawyer's site ( http://www.mylemon.com/) so do some research.

(1) Kenwood Excelon Head Unit KDC-X589 (24 bit Burr Brown DAC, 3 X 4 volt RCA).
(1) RF Punch 250A2 - running the components.
(1) Hifonics 6.5" Atlas Components (18db crossovers).

Great advice, thanks! Canadians should also check out http://camvap.ca/index.html (Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan) if you think you have bought a lemon and you are getting nowhere with the dealership or your service department.
