I would like to first say any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the problem I have a 2000 mitsubishi montero sport that the factory alarm will not arm. The security light is double blinking (not as fast) like an old code alarm like it is in valet mode. Also, only when the car is running when you hit the door lock they lock but immeadiately unlock. Acts like the car does not want you to lock yourself out. With the ignition off the doors lock fine. Is there a valet mode for factory mitsubishi alarms and if so how do you get this thing out of valet mode. When you hit the key fob it blinks the dome light and flashes the parking lights but does not arm. The manual says if a door is open it will not arm. I removed all 5 door pins, hood pin and it still does the same thing. The door ajar indicator in the cluster lights up fine when all five doors are opened separately. This one has me stumped.
