I am installing a remote starter from DesingTech or its new owner DEI. The manual for the remote starter asks for wires colors that I can't find. I'm having trouble finding the Ignition 2 wire, it is supposed to be a white wire, but their are only two white wires and one is the starter and the other stays on all the thru from the accessory to crank and run.

I'm also having trouble finding the Passlock II wires, on the 05' model they yellow, black, and RED / white. But on the 06' I can't find these three wires together, and their isn't a single yellow wire down there.

If anyone knows if the wires have changed for the 06' silverado and if they know the new diagram I would really appreciate it if you could share it with me.

i havent done an 06 silverado yet, but i just did an 06' chevy van and they did change the passlock wire colors to yellow, tan and orange white (not used)
it sounds like you got the right 2nd ignition wire, it should have no voltage with the key off, and have 12 volts as soon as you turn the key forward all the way through till the car starts.
not to talk trash, but i had the pleasure of installing a customers design tech system and had problems programming tach, and after talking to dei's tech support they basically admitted these units arent the best, hopefully your experience goes smoother than mine did.

I haven't had a lot of good luck with desingtech either.

The passlock wires on an 05 chevy are in the big plug that the ignition wires run down to. They are on the left hand column of wires in that plug, and they are the only yellow and black(or ORANGE / black sometimes) that are right next to eachother.

There are a bunch of good data modules out there that automatically bypass the pk2 system on this truck. They do it thru the cars databus system so you dont even need to look for the pk2 wires.

Northstart.....or start it your damn self.
