I had a 78 Jag and its fuel injected.  If it is, then its simple.  Everthing is run off relays under the hood.  Go to ingition switch, there will be be 12 volt, stater (WHITE/ yellow), and ingition (WHITE/ pink), white(acc) and maybe PURPLE / black, check with meter,  simple install.  Door locks in centre console at master switch.  Tach comes into the dash (WHITE/ black).  Please double check, Jag wiring is a guess at best, but it makes sense, when it works.
