Do you guys permanently bypass clutch switches when installing remote starters on manual transmissions? I would like to only bypass for the remote start, but i guess I am not sure which is better.

I usually bypass the system with the starter wire. I'm not sure what your are referring to when you say " permanently bypassing" the clutch because all you are doing is bypassing it in the start postion of the starting sequence, otherwise the clutch works normally.

Sorry Jeff, I typed my message after i did a search online so i wasn't typing the full phrase. I meant to ask if you Bypass the clutch safety switch that doesn't allow the car to start when the clutch is not depressed. I have read that peple will just jumper the two wire at the switch and then the starter will always be able to engage with the key even when the clutch is not depresssed. The honda civic i had never had such a safety switch, so I thought it was just a preference.

When you say bypass with the starter do you mean hook up the starter wire after the safety switch or do you trigger a relay that bypasses it?
