I was at a local stereo shop and i noticed that DEI has changed the antenna style for the two way pager alarms from the two skinny wires in opposing directions to the newer style triangular stubby single antenna.  My question is is this  antenna backwards compatible with the older viper and python two way systems like the 790xv and 791xv and the python version?  If so any ideas of where i can buy an individual part like this?

Thanx

I know the python 881XP still comes with the style you described as the older style; as does the Viper 791XV.  The stubby antenna is used on the 2-way LED systems; the larger antenna is for the responder systems with the 2-way LCD remote

From a DEI dealer?
If you change a responder style antenna to a different style antenna, the remote must be changed as well.
The 2way responder style remote from the 5000 will work with the new style antenna, but not the responder style antenna.
