I am reading up on the install process, havent recieved the alarm yet.I am getting the Brain specific for manual transmissions, there are 2 diff relay diagrams on the net for this car ,not concluding the same way of wiring for door lock/unlock..anyone know the correct way??
Also will there be any additional relays for me to purchase??
What is the best way to wire for starting??I heard there is a way to do it without going into reservation mode, and the car will not start if its in gear,
Quote " Proteges have a neutral gear output from the tranny, that tells the ECU the car is in gear by sending a +12v output. If you connect that wire to the +brake input on the compustar, you can use the automatic tranny mode in the alarm which will start the car without the reserve mode action. But if you leave the car in gear, the compustar will not start, just like if you were pressing the brake it shuts down the starting process or the car. But you need 2 diodes to isolate each individual circuit..."
Thanks for any suggestions

Single wire doorlock diagram.

The BEST way is the one that is the safest. Often it's the one that require the most amount of work, but that will be your choice. Personally I would not choose the auto mode for the convenience of installation.

Can also find tach in pin 48 of the ECM. *4 The ECM is behind the passenger side of the dash.

Personally, if you can find the neutral wire and install the remote start correctly I think this is the safest way. I would think there is less of a chance of the neutral sensing circuit going bad then something with the remote starter or door pin going bad. I'm sure many here will disagree, but that has a lot to do with a lack of knowlegde with the neutral circuits in Mazda's, Nissan's, Subaru's and others.

I have a few questions..lol
reference this manual
http://www.staub.ca/tech/Manuals/Firstech/CM3000_wiring_manual.pdf
I am installing in 01 protege, just want you if you can to look over my possible connections..
CN1 pin 1 --- 12 volts   Blk/w or Black
CN1 pin 6 --- Starter    BLACK/ blue
CN1 pin 7 --- Ignition    Blue
CN2 pin 3 --- conn to harnessed(purple pigtail to relay to blue wire) then connect to Second ignition..IS THIS NEEDED??
CN1 pin 4 --- Accesory Blk/white
CN4 pin 4 --- Alarm unlock to dual relay diagram in post
CN4 pin 5 --- Alarm lock to dual relay diagram in post
Also refering to double relay diagram,do I cut( in half )the factory Lt GREEN/ red wire or just tap into it??
What gets wired to lock Motor and Unlock motor??
CN1 pin 2 --- Parking lights + lt green black
CN2 pin 1 --- Parking lights - brown
CN3 pin 5 --- Door trigger - BLACK/ blue
CN5 pin 3 --- Dome supervision (same as door trigger)if I set my brain to manual mode this cant be used.
CN3 pin 4 --- Trunk pin - RED / green
CN3 pin 9 --- Tach PURPLE / white
CN3 pin 3 --- Brake wire + GREEN/ YELLOW
CN5 pin 5 --- Horn trigger - blk/red
CN5 pin1 --- Neutral safety wire - pink/green
Questionable connections

tech sheet will help you and is a great reference,

but you need to test each and every wire before hooking them up.

i don't think you need CN1 pin 3 unless you are using it for 2nd ign, starter or accessory

CN3 pin 2 will be for your hood pin, that is included in the compustar box

CN5 pins 1 and 2 are for your factory arm and disarm wires if your vehicle has a factory alarm

My car currently has factory keyless entry,2 button remote...do I need to use CN5 pin 1 ,2 on this??
CN2 pin 3 --- conn to harnessed(purple pigtail to relay to blue wire) then connect to Second ignition..IS THIS NEEDED??
Does any thing get wired to LOCK MOTOR
and UNLOCK MOTOR ??
DO I connect anything to SPEED SENSOR ??
From my following car specs..
Function, Color, POL, Location
12 Volt, BLACK/ white or black, +, Ignition Harness
Starter, BLACK/ blue, +, Ignition Harness
Ignition, blue, +, Ignintion Harness
2nd Ignition, BLACK/ red, +, Ignition Harness
Accessory, BLACK/ white, +, Ignition Harness
Power Lock, lt. GREEN/ red, -, Module high in driver kick panel
Power Unlock, same wire as lock
- This is a one wire door lock system. Two signle pole, double through Relays are needed. The diagram is below. Lock requires a 1.5K ohm resistor.
Lock Motor, red, N/A, door lock relay left of brake pedal
Unlock motor, blue, NA, door lock relay left of brake pedal
Disarm Defeat, RED / black--------------, N/A, door lock relay left of brake pedal
Parking Lights +, lt. green black, N/A, drivers kick panel(never found) or under dash in a large harness (picture below)
Parking Lights -, brown, N/A, Head Light switch
Headlights, RED / yellow, -, headlight switch
Door Trigger, BLACK/ blue, -, drivers kick panel
Dome Supervision, use door trigger
Trunk / Hatch Pin, RED / green, -, at light in trunk
Factory Alarm Arm, N/A
Factory Alarm Disarm, N/A
Tachometer, PURPLE / white, N/A, Diagnostic Connector in driver side rear corner of the engine compartment also on ECM pin 48
Speed Sensor aka VSS, orange or GREEN/ red (Confirmed as violet/red on a 2003 P5 by shareef777) , N/A, pin 58 on ECM
Brake Wire, GREEN/ YELLOW, +, brake switch
Horn Trigger, BLACK/ red, -, Steering Column
Wipers, blue/white(L) or blue/red(H), +, steering column
LF Window Up/Down, RED / black - YELLOW /GREEN, A, Drivers door switch
RF Window Up/Down, GREEN / WHITE - lt. GREEN/ black, A, Drivers door switch or kick panel
LR Window Up/Down, RED / green - yellow/red, A, Drivers door switch or kick panel
RR Window Up/Down, blue/white - GREEN/ red, A, Drivers door switch
For Standards!
Neutral safety trigger, pink green, - (while in neutral), Under battery tray from transmission.
- Its actualy in a two wire harness attached to a bracket that is on the transmission. However, the battery must be removed to have working room to get to the neutral safety wire.

wow! guess you haven't given up.
doesn't look like anyone will have time to answer you with this long post. anyways, i will give it a try. test all your wires first and make sure you have all your wire before you start connecting.
cn1 pin 1 --- 12 volts blk/w or black
if you have two constant power, seperate the two red wire on your connection.
yellow ------ cn1 pin 6 --- starter BLACK/ blue
you will need to bypass the clutch. you will need to learn about this, so hit the books on this part.
green ------ cn1 pin 7 --- ignition blue
i don't like connecting starter kill, unless requested or paid by a customer, so you can tell i don't do them.
cn2 pin 3 --- conn to harnessed(purple pigtail to relay to blue wire) then connect to second ignition..is this needed??
no unless you want to do starter kill.
white ------ cn1 pin 4 --- accesory blk/white
correct------------cn4 pin 4 --- alarm unlock to dual relay diagram in post
correct--------cn4 pin 5 --- alarm lock to dual relay diagram in post
also refering to double relay diagram,do i cut( in half )the factory lt GREEN/ red wire or just tap into it??
tap into it
"what gets wired to lock motor and unlock motor??"
nothing! you are going to the relays for the connection because the factory has already put them in place to have power locks. the lock and unlock motor wire are the motor wire in itself, that is right after the relay connection point, if it makes any sense. i don't think you understand. pretend you are adding in actuator for the door locks. you are taping into the actuator wire instead of the relays 85,86 pins that was already set up. does that make better sense? probably not. do some reading i guess.
greeen white------cn1 pin 2 --- parking lights + lt green black
cn2 pin 1 --- parking lights - brown
don't connect this, you don't need both, one or the other, either positive or negative parking light--------
red black-------------cn3 pin 5 --- door trigger - BLACK/ blue
cn5 pin 3 --- dome supervision (same as door trigger)if i set my brain to manual mode this cant be used.
correct
i don't remember what colour it is-----cn3 pin 4 --- trunk pin - RED / green
set your multimeter to a/c for testing.
yellow/black-----------cn3 pin 9 --- tach PURPLE / white
light blue----------cn3 pin 3 --- brake wire + GREEN/ YELLOW
white--------------cn5 pin 5 --- horn trigger - blk/red
"do i connect anything to speed sensor ??"
no.
cn5 pin1 --- neutral safety wire - pink/green
follow the information that was given to you.
if you have done the work above, i don't think you will need this part.
