Can I use the 530T to do one touch up and down on a convertible top?

I don't know for sure, but I think the current draw on the convertible top might be too much. I would check to see what that circuit is fused for in the car.
The 530T has one 20 amp fuse. Split that in half since it has circuits for 2 windows and you would only be using one circuit. Would give you a 10 amp capability. As long as the motor for the top uses less than 10 amps I think it would work. You would have to wire it at the motor in the trunk, not at the switch up front.

I think for convertible tops and sunroofs, DEI actually recommends the 529T, it's a little cheaper too.

Thanks for the advice guys.
The amp stuff is something I worried about so I will have to get more info on that. If the 530T has one 20 amp fuse how would 10 amps blow it? I have a 97 mustang gt.
I initially thought that I would use 529T but from what I understand now it would not give me one touch capacity. I actually bought 5 529Ts, one for each window and the top but then was told they did not do one touch which defeats my purpose. If the 529T did then that would be idea because I could just wire one module per window at the motors and not worry about running wires to multiple windows like the 530T would need to be. The kicker is I want to have the one touch capacity not have an alarm raise them.
While I have useful feedback going on could I wire the modules to one switch that would start all 4 windows going up or down and still keep each individual window working?
