Im currently working on a 06 3500 ram which needs DRL's put in. I tried searching for the trigger wire with no avail even at the switch. I know with parking lights and stuff you need to use resistors so im guessing this is the case also. Does anyone know which wire is the trigger and what resistor ohm's to use ? the dealer tried activating the DRL's with the computer but the vehicle does not have a module installed.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

If it's a Canadian truck, it should have DRL's already. If it is a Non Canadian vehicle, then it needs to have the DRL module put in. The dealer should have all the info on it.

Headlights r negitive trigger at the switch, WHITE/ lt. green wire.  Headlights and parking lights are negative trigger thru a 660 ohm resistor. MUST use a relay.

for DRL's use this diagram

pin 85 to ground, 86 from pink/white wire at ignition harness,  pin 87 to ground with 660 ohm resistor inline, (cut the WHITE/ lt. green wire) 87a to WHITE/ lt. green wire switch side, 30 to WHITE/ lt. green wire BCM side.

u could even wire another relay to the parking brake wire if u didnt want them to work when parking brake was active.

I am not sure if u need to use 87a and cut the WHITE/ lt. green wire but it wouldnt hurt to be on the safe side.

Where theres is a wire there's a way.
