I am installing a crimestopper remote start in a 2004 Honda CRV and I need to know if I need to use relays for the wiring of the door lock/unlock circuts. If so, what type relay.

You shouldn't need Relays, but they would supply a stronger Ground

Just put in a 562T Valet. No problems with the start but the door locks won't work.2002 CRV. Gone over the w/b and w/g tons of times. At first it seemed like the clicked but didn't move. Hearing a signal from the brain but no go.
Was starting to wonder about relays even though I have seen no mention about on the CRV.

Man, I thought I was going crazy with reviewing wire.
ThankSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
Try it Tomorrow. Relay for each wire ? ( - unlock,- lock ) and where to place? Between Valet module and wire above
grey connector. ?
Also have 2 spare DEI 8616 mini relays. Can I use or need the 8617's.

Sorry - confused. Spent 4 hours trying to figure how I snagged the wrong wires which I didn't.
The valet module has a wire that goes to the -unlock and the -lock. Do I place a relay inbetween or somewhere else?
Can I use the DEI 8616 Pre-wired 20/10A relay or do I need a 40A?
Thanks again.

The honda door lock wire you have to test the wires going to the drivers door acuator.Colors are usually yellow/blk,YELLOW /GREEN. cut the wires and install 2 relays reverse polarity, then that should work, check the door lock section to wire properly ok2004 Honda CRV, Remote Start -- posted image.

So your saying, place the relays between each trigger actuator wire in stead of the -unlock & -lock wire?
Then connect those to the blue and green going to the Valet brain?
