Hope this doesnt make a double post, my first one got messed because of rich text format and now i cant find it.

Here’s the problem, I can’t find the freaking wires that go to the parking lights in an 1989 VW Jetta.  According to this site, they are at the switch but the colors I was told aren’t there.  Now im not sure if I have the colors wrong or if they are in another location. As in a different switch... I am looking at the head light switch.  I don’t have a parking light switch.  According to this site Grey/Red Right and Grey / Black Left PL at the switch.  Could this be another switch other than the head light switch?? I was thinking maybe the hazard light switch but they aren’t there either.

Could I not use the hazard lights, which are the turn signals as the flashing lights for the alarm?  Anyone know the wires i should used for this?

My Bently (VW manual) says that both the wires are Grey / Black on the current diagram but truthfully, it also shows that the wires don’t even go to the switch as the12volt.com says they do.  In a 1993 jetta the parking lights go to the switch not sure why the 89 would be so much different.  Maybe I can’t read the current diagram properly.  Anyone have any information to help me out, please let me know. It’s wizing me off.  Stupid colored wires

Using a multimeter, test the wires at the switch until you find the ones that show 12 volts with the parking lights on.  Directechs shows the same colors.  I've gone to the hazard switch before and it worked fine.  Some BMW's it's easier to do this than to interrupt a ribbon cable.  Also some Volvo's you're supposed to five wire at the parking light switch (in which case I go to the hazard switch instead).
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

So I tested the wires and it seemed that a bunch of wires have 12v when the lights are off and only some when they were turned on. It is kind of hard to figure out which ones are the parking light wires as more then 2 wires had 12v when the ights were on.

One of the wires (there are actually 2 wires of the same color going to the same spot on the head light switch) must be for the dimmer. As I turned the dimmer up the voltage increased. Im thinking either these are the wires or that they are ruled out because they are for the dimmer. Which is it?

There are 3 other separate wires that had 12v. Two of them had 12v regardless of whether the lights were on or not. One wire only had 12v when the lights were on. What does this mean? I need to find two wires that are acting the same, correct? Does this mean that it must be the two wires that had 12v whether the lights were on or not?
Im thinking I need to find two wires that are acting the same because my car has separate light circuits for each side.

Now on to the hazard lights, maybe it will be easier to figure out the proper wires here.

Basically, there were 3 wires that the voltage went from 0-12v back and forth when the hazards were on. I presume that's because of the lights turning on and off, i.e. flashing. Two of the wires had 0V when hazards were off.  One wire had 12v when off and still had voltage that went up and down when on. Would this mean that the parking lights must be the wires that had 0V when off?

I am wondering how to wire everything for keyless entry with a vacuum system with my alarm. It seems to have a built in relay for it or something.  The keyless entry harness is as follows:

This is for an Ungo 2004 alarm

5-Pin Door Lock Harness (See Door Lock Diagrams - Page 14)

Pin 1 - WHITE/ Black: Lock 87A (Normally closed)
Pin 2 - GREEN/ Black: Lock 30 (Common)
Pin 3 - Blue/Black: Unlock 30 (Common)
Pin 4 - BROWN / Black: Unlock 87A (Normally closed)
Pin 5 - Violet/Black: Lock/Unlock 87 (Normally open) [10A Fuse]

The alarm installation manual has this diagram for how to wire the keless entry:

I have it all wired up as the installation manual says but it just doesnt work.  I used to have this alarm in a newer jetta wired this way and it worked.  A couple resistors blew up in the drivers door before it worked but after the resistors blew up everything worked fine and dandy..  I cant seem to get it to work in my 1989 jetta with vacuum system.  It seems to sometimes, not all of the time, unlock the doors but it unlocks them and then locks them and does this twice.  In the end the doors are still locked.  I cannot get it to lock the door when arming the alarm.
Is tehre another way to do this?  I was thinking of making the two relay thing as the site says butdont know how ti integrate that with my alarm. I would think i dont need to do that as my alarm has a relay build into it.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks,
