I have a 1994 Isuzu Trooper that had an alarm with keyless entry which I bought 8 years ago. Unless you press the remote to turn off the alarm the truck will not start. I have lost the only remote I have and now the truck has been sitting in the parking lot for a while because I cannot start it without the remote. Does anyone know where I can look in the vehicle to see what type of alarm is installed. What should I look for? I am sure I can buy a replacement remote but I need to know what alarm is on the truck. I tried pulling out everything under the dash and found nothing other than a little Isuzu box. Even if I can somehow disconnect the ignition from the alarm would be okay with me, I just need to get it to start. Any advice is much appreciated!

just goihn to look high up under the dash, follow the wires back form the LED, also you shold have a valet swith some were to over the alarm if the batties die in the remote or the remote dies.

Just try to locate a starter kill relay in the heavy gauge wires going to the key. If you locate it just reconnect the starter wire that was seperated.

Thanks for the help guys, but I figured it out. The box I found earlier that I thought was the computer for the Isuzu was the alarm module. All I had to do was disconnect everything and it started up. I am without an alarm or keyless entry but it runs great. The kicker is that after I did all that, I found the remote, go figure...
