i have an avital 2100 installed on my car. Ever since the battery died the alarm doesnt work right. I can put it into valet mode manually (valet button) but the tranamitter will not work, Ive put new batteries in it and everything else that the owners manual said to do. the light on the transmitter comes on when I push the buttons, whether or not its transmitting, I dont know.
Does any one know what I can do with this?
If not, does any one know where I can get the installation/wiring manual for the Avital 2100 (not the owners manual, I already have this and its as useful as wizing into the wind)
I already have the wiring for the car thanks to this site plus my trusty Haynes Automotive Repair Manual
thanks in advance for your time

Reprogram the remote. It might be out of sync with the brain.

Thanks for that link thats exactly what I was looking for.
However, I've gome thru the process in the manual but the system still wont respond to the remote, the alarm itself responds to the programing, but it wont chirp accepting the 'code learning'
could this be a remote problem?
with all the trouble this thing has given me I thinking about buying a new one, any suggestions

if the LED on the remote lights up, it should work.
But seeing as though it doesnt have that chirp for learning the remote, it couuld be the remote.
Check ebay, any DEI remote (anything that says 266 code hopping remote)
