Hi, I recently purchased a 2000 Honda Prelude. It turns out that the previous owner had installed a compustar 2wss-as alarm system. I was excited to see that it had a decent alarm already in the vehicle, however I decided to test its validity. Turns out, door lock/unlock doesn't work (it can tell if a door is open or not but doesn't lock/unlock), engine kill doesn't work (or uninstalled), and all else. The alarm seemed like it was properly installed, black tape..zip ties, glass break sensor, everything. However, the only things properly functioning were the Remote Paging System, system arm/disarm, and door trigger.

I'm deciding whether to take it to an expert shop or dismantle/reinstall the alarm myself. I do not have the Compustar wiring brain wiring diagram though. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the system and any other information? Please let me know. I may also need a few pointers for installing the system on a Honda Prelude.

Oh, and what would be an estimate for an alarm shop to reinstall and install a compustar alarm?

Thank you in advance everyone.

go to download section for the compustar diagram
search for the diagram for your car
open the panel to see if the lock/unlock wire are hooked up
then see if the lock/unlock switch works.
You can also see if there is starter kill relay or not
read the manaul to the compustar so you know how it works
