Hi, I just bought 2 new keyless entry remotes for my Ford and programmed them and now I can lock and unlock my doors,  They work great locking and unlocking the doors however my Ranger has a factory installed alarm, So when I unlock the doors with the new remote the alarm engages as if someone had illegaly unlocked the truck and starts the siren and horn blowing. Is it possible to program these remotes so it dearms and arms the factory alarm when the doors are locked? I may have two remotes now that I will be unable to use.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem please email me or post a message. Thank you

That is really weird, my friends got f-150 and mustangs that got the remote programmed fine and it arms/disarm when locking and unlocking.
Try reprogramming the remote to see if that solves it.
What year ranger is it?
If that doesnt work, contact the seller of the remotes and ask for help.
Last resort would be using a unlock wire to disarm the factory alarm.

Sounds to me like that you have a aftermarket alarm installed in the Ranger. If you do have a OEM alarm there is no siren it will use the horn and the lights will flash also.I have never heard of a OEM alarm on a Ford Ranger.
