I had a Viper 350HV installed professionally on my 01 Civic EX.  How easy is it to upgrade to the 791XV.  I have car audio experience, but no alarm experience.  From what I can see the H1 harness is slightly different and I'm not sure how to connect the remote start.  I have all the install guides and wiring layouts, but unsure about some of the wires.  Also do you need the DEI 610T with the 791?  Any help would be appreciated.

moderately hard for someone new to this, but give it a shot

i recommend using the new 12pin harness. (this means you will have to rewire the wires exactly like the previous person) You can keep your old doorlock harness, shock sensor.

The 791 does not have a yellow igniton wire (12pin harness) that the 350hv does, so disconnect it at the main harness. Also, the starter kill relay is built into the xcrs so you will have to remove the old one.
extra wires you will have to hook up are: tach, hood, brake, bypass, xcrs relay wires.
That should be about it, dont think im missing any wire.

Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For.

You'll also need a bypass module for the transponder system in the car.  By the way this civic an auto?
