Just doing my usual research before I have to work on the car and I read a thread about someone doing a remote start on another 04 Dakota and not having the blower motor kick in because of the 2nd accessory not being hooked up? I didnt think Id have to wire it up but just wondering about this truck...Its totally base, no power anything, no immobilizer/factory alarm, Directechs lists 3 Ignition Wires and 2 Accessories, Do I have to hook ALL of them up? I know the Ignition wires are a definite yes, but how about both accessory wires??

My listings show that this truck has two possible ignition wires (Blue and dark GREEN/ Red) The dark GREEN/ red is only on the 4.7L engine. There are two accessory wires (BLACK/ Orange and Green) All need to be hooked up. This truck should also have a transponder style key. If the key is gray it will have one.

I wont have the truck for a few days so I cant really look at the harness, Just getting some info on it before it gets here...

When you get the truck, simply test the RED / white wire to see if it is an ignition wire. If it is, then you need to hook it up.

Some of the Dodge trucks do need both accessories. While one may turn the fan on, another will allow the AC button to work(this is true with certain year Ram trucks). It's not worth the guess and takes only a few minutes to wire a relay for the second accessory....
