Hi!

I have installed an Autopage RS-655 and DEI 555 bypass in a 2005 Chev Avalanche.  All functions appear to be working (arm/disarm/doors/lights/remote start).  However, I have two conflict issues that I am unable to figure out:

1. If remote start is enabled when the vehicle is armed, the vehicle starts but after a minute or so the alarm goes off.  The vehicle does continue to run.  If the remote start is enabled when the vehicle has been disarmed there is no problem.

2. After inserting the key in the ignition and starting to drive after a remote start, the overhead lights and door chime turn on for a brief moment.  All other things function properly and the vehicle runs without another problem.

Has anyone seen this before or do you have any suggestions on how to resolve?

Thanks!

#2 known problem or design issue with 457gw I can't remember the exact reasoning from dei, but it is considerd normal.

#1 is not something I seen, are saying the vehicles factory alarm goes off or the aftermarket alarm goes off.

Thanks for the reply!

Is there any work around for the 457GW or a reasonable replacement?

For problem 1 it is the aftermarket alarm that is going off.  The factory alarm is not activating.
