Remote Starter Now Wierd Buzzing Sounds

My husband is on a ship off to Iraq and I need advice on this so I don't get ripped off.

I had a remote starter installed on my 2000 Dodge Intriped and within a day or so, the locks started making this loud buzzing sound when put in the lock position.  The installer states this is a dodge problem.  I really need help on what to do, or if there are know electrical problems when the rattler is installed.  Please advise.

Go and listen to each door separately.  If only one door is making the odd noise, it is probably just the power lock actuator in that door----and since the installer does not need to go into the doors on an Intrepid, it is most likely not his fault.

If the odd noise comes from all the doors at once, or from some other odd area of the car.......well, if that's the answer, post more details and we'll try to narrow it down.

And if the noise is indeed just in one door, and you're too cheap to fix it for whatever reason, yes....the actuator in that door can be unplugged.  It won't work electrically anymore, but you can still lock/unlock it manually.

Yes, the noise just comes from one door.  Why is it making such a noise, but still works.  I thought because this happen a day after I have the remote start installed, that too much power was being sent thur the system and that is why the door started making the noise.  Could this be the case.  Thanks for your comments.
