Confused, installed 562t in 2006 torrent. calls for a 556L and it does work fine but he sucurity light is always on, even with key starts. I have tried another 556L and a bunch of differnt wire setups. The car light will go out if i pull the 556L fuse but wont remote start obviously. any special programming for this type passlock 2?

The module must first be programmed before operation, use the following procedure:

IMPORTANT! The vehicle must be started within 15

seconds or the module will automatically exit the learn

routine.

1. Cycle the ignition On/Off 2 times.

2. Start the vehicle and keep it running for at least 10-seconds.

3. The LED on the module will flash 2-times.

4. Wait for the LED to flash once very quickly (within 5-seconds)

of ignition On. The R-code is learned.

3. Programming is now complete. Turn the vehicle’s ignition off

and test remote start at least twice.............Also, on directwire it says that the keysense wire is neccesary for remote start.

I had the same problem with its equivilant, the plxr from bypasskit.com. I know this sounds stupid, but it worked. make sure all doors are closed during programming and latch the driver door closed during programming. goofiest stuff i heard in a while. the light would stay off if remote started with door open, soon as you closed the door the light came on. program unit with all doors closed.

Thanks for the textbook answer but I tried that many times per instructions. The led never comes on or flashes, only once when powered up. thanks anyway
