Hi, I am new to this site. I was browsing around in search for help on car alarms and came across this site, so I signed up.  In the fall i purchased a 97 chevy cavalier z24 that came with this car alarm system Compustar 1WAM4R. Now it was working great up until a month ago.  I had to take my car in to Canadian Tire to get serviced.  They shut off my alarm, or I guess it turned itself into Valet mode if you call it, and so it wasn't working. Then I took it to Tiger Automotive and they told me my car alarm was in passive mode so they turned it back.  Now after that it seemed that my car alarm kept going through its cycle randomly at any given time of day, or when someone was to simply walk by it or drive by or maybe have loud noise around it.  Now it goes off uncrontrollably at night aswell and it is bothering my neighbourhood, I was wondering if any of you could please help me or tell me what is wrong with this

Thanks

lordbakka

the shock/impact sensor might be out of wack. look for it and turn it down. I believe the comp. shock sensors have numbers on them, so adjustment is easy

sounds like your in passive mode. Turn that option OFF. should be unlock and trunk release button for about .01 of a second. So you DO NOT HOLD THE BUTTONS TOGETHER!!!! two flashes means that option is turned off. that should do the trick.
Valet mode is lock and trunk if you didn't get that turn off already. word
"dont ground out!"
