I have window switches that I made using the original window crank. it is 2 momentary push button switches with a paddle that will push one switch for up or the other for down. now that I have my power window kit I find that it uses reverse polarity on the motor. how can I make this switch setup work? I wont be using a crossover, each window will work just from that door.this is on a street rod project 2 door.

Reversing polarity
window switches -- posted image.
You need 2 relays, notice from the above picture the 'green wire (86 on relay) and the blue wire at the right (85 on the relay)'
Your switches will be triggering those (refering to the 86 and 85) instead of output from alarm.
and the 'output to actuators' from the above diagram, instead it will go to the window motor.
hope that helps

so one side of each switch would be grounded? then use 85 and 86 to the other side of the switches? also will I have to use 2 relays on each window ?

correct and correct and correct
or you can buy a 530T by dei (which is used for window up and down using an alarm's output).
Using the 530T will give you one touch up and down.
Cost $40+ (depending where you get it)
I say stick to plain and simple and use relays instead.

Hey thanks so much. this is a roundabout way of doing it but this way im using my original window crank to work the windows insted of the switches provided with window kit. they sell custom switches to do it with but they are like $90.00 each.
