Tach wire, is found on the left side of the steering column.  It is a large bundle of wires, taped on the OUTSIDE of that bundle is four wires.  Use the Grn/wht wire for tach.  This wire is taped to the ouside, can be found right by the e-brake.  This wire is capped from the factory, and goes nowhere.  Very easy to find.

Hey Morris, do a search for this information. This vehicle has been posted before and there are complete diagrams for all wires in previous posts.

Jeff we worked on it most of day Car Toys has a Volenteer installer(ME)I stood in the install bay with installer to try and get the alarm not to go off when the remote start is shut down with the Key Fob but could not get anything to work,we even tried the relay that you told the guy with the 2001 ford to try but nothing worked. The 2003 is so much different than all the other years,we had trouble waking the truck up with the negative ground relay,so we will try again when DEI is open on Wednesday. We did get the tach hooked up to the brain and it works great.Ford trucks can be a real pain but we will get it.Have been a Electrician for 25 years and car wiring still makes me crazy. Will let you know what happens on wednesday when we get finished.

Did you guys test the system with nothing but the bare essentials for the system to work ? Try it with no triggering inputs from the truck. Slowly, one by one, reattach the wires until you get the wire that triggers the alarm after shutdown from the RS remote FOB. If it's the doors, then make sure that you have the proper door polarity as well as the proper door wire. The Ford also uses a GEM sysetm that drops it's voltage in it's wires to conserve energy so this may be your problem too.
