keyless entry and alarm problems

I have a 2002 Sebring sedan and I'm trying to install an after market alarm. However I have a couple problems. 1. The car has a single wire for locking/unlocking. The alarm has 6 wires for the locks, Orange NC, White C, Yellow NO, ORANGE / black NC, WHITE/ black C, yellow/black NO. With White and WHITE/ black connected to the lock/unlock wire and yellow and yellow/black connected to a +12v wire both the lock and unlock buttons unlock the doors. I have found online that it locks at 750 ohms and unlocks at 1800 ohms. So I went out and bought a 470 resistor, 330 resistor, and a 1k resistor and soldered them together. At first it worked, the doors locked and unlocked, but then while working with other wires they fell off (I hadn't secured them yet) and now they no longer work. In fact the resistor chain no longer works at all. 2. How would I go about making the headlights flash when I unlock the doors? The alarm manual was obviously written by someone who doesn't speak very good English (In fact it came from Hong Kong) there are 2 wires listed as being for the "redirection lights" would I use those and if so where would I hook them up? 3. The alarm has a single wire for remotely opening the trunk. I found the trunk wire (controls the trunk release button) but splicing into it doesn't work... Thanks

A thought, I also made a 750ohm resistor chain with 5 150ohm resistors and that one works... Could it be that the 330, 470, and 1k are shorting out? I noticed that the 150ohm resistors are 1/2 watt and the 330, 470, and 1k are 1/4 watt...

Update: (I would simply edit my posts if I could but...) Problem one is solved. I changed the resistors to 2 680 1/2 watts and 2 220 1/2 watts plus a 12v diode. However only time will tell if this one will continue to work....
