Hi Guys,
Anyone ever disable a factory keyless enrtry in a 2000 Frontier, the factory keyless keeps on unlocking doors by itself, and setting off the aftermarket system recently installed, it also flashes the lights for no reason.
It seems like it is tied into the module under the dash, but I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to disconnect just the keyless function of the module.
thanks

unlocks "by itself" ....... ?

How does simply unlocking the doors, trigger the alarm. Does your alarm tell you wich zone has been triggered. Door pin, or dome light I would assume.

The issues you are having.... are you SURE they are being caused by the O.E. system.  My guess is, that it would be the installation of the aftermarket system.

Because it didn't do this before.... correct/

the problem existed for the customer before I installed the aftermarket alarm , the reason it sets off the alarm is that it activates illuminated entry when it unlocks the doors, I could tie directly into the module and diode isolate, but as I was sitting in the vehicle I noticed the hazards kept flashing as if it kept trying to unlock the doors.(but it could be a malfunction that causes it to flash the lights) so I figured I might attempt to disconnect it if possible..I also figured maybe the factory remote was sending a signal but the customer claims it happens without him having a factory remote in the truck..
thanks
